It's 1965 - The Rolling Stones tour Australia - The Seekers go Number 1 in the UK - The Sound of Music opens in New York - without a doubt the Sixties in all its kaleidoscopic glory is in full swing.
But not in backwater Bendigo where ASIO has just recruited budding spymaster, Martin, to check out the local communist party, as Robert Menzies sends the first combat troops to Vietnam.
Based on a true story, this delicious comedy set to a swinging Sixties soundtrack approaches sheer farce as Martin eavesdrops, infiltrates and bumbles his way through Spying 101 with distinctly disturbing results.
