Showcasing the works of Australian artist Matt Benson-Parry, Effie Blue is a vivid exploration of the importance of myth and the power of the story, in a series of artworks created within the last five years. His use of layers of acrylic paint, tree sap and encaustic wax makes Goddesses and birds leer out of each painting, alongside monsters and men. With an upcoming show as part of Artists for Peace in Fremantle and Beirut, Benson-Parry has recently exhibited in New York following successful shows in Melbourne and Fremantle. Also making an appearance is his favourite baby, a 1977 Ford F100.

Princely Treasures: European Masterpieces 1600-1800 from the Victoria and Albert Museum will give Perth audiences an extraordinary insight into the relationship between art, craft and courtly life in Europe in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
