A playhouse of creativity, this old pearl has hidden treasures within. From its grand entrance to its back corners, this historic William Street icon shines bright with Outskirts energy.
Highlighting the tight time constraints of modern commercial creative practice, Miles Noel has created a series of new painted portraits in exactly 10 hours each. Working from his own photography of young adults, Miles creates paintings that combine an arresting juxtaposition of realism and expressionistic abstract painting effects.
Accompanying the artworks will be a time-lapse video showing the evolution of their creation, offering a fascinating insight into his painting process.
Miles has exhibited solo, taught painting at Fremantle Arts Centre, and is a formally trained and practising graphic designer and photographer.
