Having inherited the bargain-hunting, rummager-gatherer nature of her mother, Fern Vallesi has been fossicking for old gold at op-shops, garage sales and Sunday markets since she was a teenager. That's also when she started making jewellery with her preloved finds... Now Fern sells her creations under the label She Seldom Blushes and has a store of the same name in Fremantle's historic Atwell Arcade.
Fern produces one-of-a-kind original jewellery designs, and limited edition pieces, using a combination of new, vintage and preloved beads, chain, trinkets and bits of kitsch. She also designs etched acrylic jewellery inspired by eras past.
Jewels by She Seldom Blushes are fresh delights reborn from aging treasures and distant memories.
