Beardsley in Blue Jeans

BEARDSLEY IN BLUE JEANS is inspired by Aubrey Beardsley, Victorian dandy of the grotesque. Beardsley was born on the 21st of August 1872 in Brighton, England. An artist of decadence confined to a strait-laced society.

Associated with the Art Nouveau movement and party friend of Oscar Wilde, he was considered degenerate for his erotic black and white illustrations. Now they are recognised as symbols of beauty. Tragically, he died at 25 on the 16th of March 1898, a life of tuberculosis cutting his career short.

BEARDSLEY IN BLUE JEANS is a creative design agency and is a contemporary, jeans wearing homage to Aubrey. We can only hope the fop himself would approve! Our studio draws and designs in a style that reflects 19th century Art Nouveau, mixed with 20th century modernity, packaged and delivered to a 21st century audience.

Our expertise covers a range of creative needs including branding and marketing, commercial illustration, exclusive fabric design, set design, interior design and works for public art purposes and events.

The doors are always open to new and interesting projects and collaborations.
