Tristan's urge to create is stimulated from the modern industrial world and the complexities of lo brow contemporary life. Agreeing with the antipathic view towards the culture of paid advertising and mass-produced commodities. He is Intrigued with the interaction and contradictions between opposing elements, Design versus disarray, destruction and construction.
Working spontaneously, and utilising a range of otherwise incompatible mediums that directly involve the hand. Through a process of distillation, often utilising methods of de-construction and reconstruction, Tristan attacks the surface with vibrant use of colour, shape, pattern, symbol and geometric rhythm.
